This week we're chatting with our pal Sean Hamilton. Sean is a runner, a really good, and rather cool runner at that. While he not only brings style to the miles, he brings a great deal of depth, wisdom, stoic philosophy and a desire to genuinely connect with what's good in the world. Our conversation covers many of the aspects of Sean's life that make him an interesting character, and all around rad human.

We jam on the idea of "Dark Starts", which is a group of friends who wake up early to go running, but is ultimately so much more than that. We talk about community, connection, and finding our way and place in the world. Much of this conversation focuses on a unique retreat that Sean took during a particularly challenging season. An invitation from a friend led him to a cabin, or "bunkie" in the woods, where he chronicled not only his training runs, but much of what he was discovering. In time, Sean published his pseudo training log turned journal and titled it "Running Through the Woods, the River Gentle on my Mind". Our conversation also ventures into plant-based eating, stoic philosophy, sobriety and more.

We really enjoyed talking with Sean, and while this conversation is a full one, we all felt in many ways, we were just getting started.

Peace, Z&D
