This week on the podcast we sat down with local legend Steve Thorp. While you may not immediately know his name, you will likely know one or two of his businesses. From Postmark brewery to Vancouver Urban winery, Steve has been behind a number of successful businesses. As a serial entrepreneur Steve has created or co-created many prominent brands in BC. More so, Steve has a knack for disrupting business as usual by entering crowded or already established markets with new ideas and fresh perspectives. His hard work and vision for success has helped him ever since he was a young man polishing ski's and snowboards out of his parents Garage, the desire and ability to start businesses, work hard, and find a niche has been a constant.

We dive deep into Steve's latest pursuit, Before Self Care. As a brand, Before simply nails it in terms of design, aesthetic, and quality. Their line of toothpaste is excellent, and Steve dives into the how and why of entering a market like self care, and specifically toothpaste. By looking at an industry that has not evolved in a long time, Steve and Before were able to disrupt the industry with some innovative thinking, brilliant eco-friendly packaging and a superior product.
