Hey Friends,

Today on the pod we've got the one and only Tamara Taggart. As a born and raised Vancouver Girl, Tamara has a local focus which has connected her to many people in the community, as a supporter, advocate and organizer. Tamara also had a very successful career in broadcasting and as such is a familiar face to many of us here in Vancouver. In addition to her broadcasting and television credentials Tamara is well known for her more than two decades of work in the community as an activist, a community organizer, and former candidate in Vancouver's political scene. Needless to say, she is someone who cares about the people around her, and she cares about making the world a better, more inclusive place for everyone.

In our conversation we cover a range of topics that are close to her, from Journalism and Journalistic integrity in a time of "fake news" and open critiques of "mainstream media", we talk about Ableism, and how our world is not accommodating to people with any kind of exceptionalities or disability, and she shares about her own personal journey, one that required resilience in the face of difficulty, and embracing and facing the unknown with hope, grace, grit and determination.

This was a really fun, and impactful conversation. We were so grateful for the opportunity to listen and learn from Tamara!

We know you will love this one!

Enjoy, Z&D
