Hey Friends,
We're dropping a bonus episode this week. Like many of you here in Canada, we have been watching the protest movement dubbed the "freedom convoy" which is an anti-Covid-mandate movement with a variety of threads tied into it, officially or otherwise. Our pal, and ALMG alum Maia Wikler was keen to jump into a conversation that was equal parts us trying to make sense of what we're seeing, and recognizing the need for nuanced conversation that holds the perspective of someone else we may not agree with, while not 'othering' them.
If you've followed our pod at all you know we are all about creating goodness in the world, and we recognize that goodness looks different for everyone and we know that not everyone will agree with everything we touch on here, and honestly that's ok. We don't need uniformity, we need unity in diversity.
Part of our learning has been to stay true to who we are, and what we believe while not alienating or minimizing people who think differently. So we invite you to listen in as we have a candid discussion about this cultural moment, and this unique movement that is currently unfolding in our Nation.
In goodness,
Z&D
