We are super excited to share this week’s episode! We sat down with Simran Panatch and Daniel Garfinkel two of the brilliant folks behind Athiana Acres, a local regenerative farm that is literally our neighbour! Athiana Acres is a new farm in the neighbourhood, but it has roots that span generations. Simran shares the story of how her family has been farming for over a century, and how the values, traditions, practices and customs of the "old way" of farming are informing how Daniel seeks to work the land.

Daniel, who is making his sophomore appearance on the podcast is a brilliant farmer who is committed to creating a farm that is not only a regenerative and thriving plot of land, but is also a thriving community hub. Athiana Acres is set to make an indelible mark on the community it is planted in, by supplying neighbours and friends with fresh delicious produce, an opportunity to connect to the land and the methods by which our food is grown, and to begin to care about farming and farming practices in our community.
